Students in grades 6-12 may participate in the choral program with choirs at the middle school and the high school level and an audition ensemble for students in grades 10-12. In this choral setting students will learn the fundamental skills for singing in a choral setting. With this purpose in mind, they will be guided in instruction in the physiology of the voice, the skill of sight-reading printed music and the discipline of following a director.
Northside’s choral groups have performed in many settings including the Biltmore Estate, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, the Southern Christmas Show, and various community venues. We believe that God has given us music as a means of worshiping and praising Him; therefore, choral music in the Christian school should challenge students to higher levels of accomplishments as this gift of music is offered back to God, in a sacrifice of praise.
