Preparing Students for Their Future
The world of college admissions can be overwhelming but Northside Christian Academy recognizes the importance of equipping students with the knowledge and information they need to be successful as they transition into their college years.
The Guidance Department at Northside Christian Academy aids students along the college planning path by providing a full range of services for all aspects of academic life and college preparation. Our College Counseling program begins with educational workshops in ninth grade and continues through the senior year with increasingly involved and individualized programming. The Guidance Department cultivates this process by offering individual and group meetings, visits with college representatives, an annual college tour, campus visits, SAT and ACT prep, and assistance with applications, interviews, and scholarships.
NCA’s College Counselor values building relationships with students and serving as a resource to parents. She has connections with college representatives across the country and assists students in selecting a college that will allow them to reach their spiritual, educational, and career goals.

College Preparation Checklists
The journey to college should not begin with the application, but rather on your student’s first day of high school. Our experienced Guidance Counselor is here to help our students plan intentionally from freshman to senior year. Check out our college preparation checklists below.
All Northside Christian Academy students are required to take the SAT or the ACT in the spring of the junior year and again in the fall of the senior year. In preparation for these tests, all students in grades ten and eleven take the PSAT. All students enrolled in an AP course are required to take the national exam in the spring.
Students may request transcripts for college applications through their Naviance Family Connection Account
