Recent Events

Alumni Basketball Game 2011

 Our annual Alumni Basketball Game was held on Saturday, October 8th. We wanted to host this event the same weekend as our Homecoming since our former December date is filled with so many activities. It was a great time of basketball and fellowship. Many alumni turned out to play while others came to cheer the guys on and visit with friends. Thank you to each of you that attended, it was a blessing to see you all. Byron Dinkins, our current Head Basketball Coach, attended and many of his players assisted with the event. Tod Skinner was entertaining as he called the game and Mr. Libby did an excellent job with the food. Next year, we plan to host the game the Saturday after Homecoming. Once I have the date, I will email it to you so you can all mark your calendars and plan to attend our next Alumni Basketball Game.

Homecoming 2011

Thank you to each of you that came out to support our Varsity Soccer team  to a win over Victory Christian at our Homecoming on Friday, October 7th. Many alumni stopped by the alumni tent to enjoy good food, prepared by Mr. Libby, and  to fellowship with other graduates of NCA. Our Alumni of the Year, Brett Honeycutt, Class of 1988, and Ginger (Gouch) Walford, Class of 1993, participated in our parade and were honored with plaques as the exited their cars. Brett currently is the Managing Editor at Sports Spectrum, a Christian sorts magazine that has been around nearly 27 years and is married to Jennifer Zurawick Honeycutt. Ginger is currently practicing dentistry with her father. She is married to Sam Walford and is blessed with six beautiful children. If you were unable to attend, I hope to see you next year!

Wedding Announcement

Katelyn Hicks (class of 2007) and Bryan Whitecotton (class of 2006) were married on July 11th at Northside Baptist Church.Their reception was also held at Northside in the Fine Arts Center. Katelyn’s sisters, Georgia and Megan, and her parents also graduated from NCA. Katelyn and Bryan are living in Raleigh while Bryan attends dental school. Congratulations Katelyn and Bryan…may the Lord bless your marriage!
