College Guidance

Preparing Students for Their Future

The world of college admissions can be intimidating but Northside Christian Academy recognizes the importance of equipping students with the knowledge and information they need to be successful as they transition into their college years.

The Guidance Department at Northside Christian Academy aids students along the college planning path by providing a full range of services for all aspects of academic life and college preparation. Our College Counseling program begins with educational workshops in ninth grade and continues through the senior year with increasingly involved and individualized programming. The Guidance Department cultivates this process by offering individual and group meetings, visits with college representatives, helps facilitate college tours and campus visits, SAT and ACT prep, and assistance with applications, interviews, and scholarships.

NCA’s College Counselor values building relationships with students and serving as a resource to parents. She has connections with college representatives across the country and assists students in selecting a college that will allow them to reach their spiritual, educational, and career goals.

Testing

All Northside Christian Academy students are required to take the SAT in the spring of their junior year and again in the fall of their senior year.

Students are encouraged to also take the ACT. In preparation for these tests, students in grade nine take the PSAT 8/9, students in grades ten and eleven take the PSAT/NMSQT. All students enrolled in an AP course are required to take the national exam in the spring.

Transcripts Requests

Enrolled students may request transcripts by emailing angela.hostettler@ncacharlotte.com. All FACTS accounts must have a zero balance in order to release transcripts.
