NCA Senior Spotlight: Victoria Nelson
How long have you attended Northside?
I have attended Northside from childcare all the way through my senior year (17 years)
What do you love most about Northside?
I love the safe, familiar atmosphere and the challenging academics.
Which teachers have impacted you the greatest, and how?
My parents and brother have obviously impacted me the most, but outside of them, Mr. Thompson and Dr. Romano have always encouraged my writing habits and have told me to follow my dreams. Without all of those people, I would not be the person I am today.
What extra-curricular activities/groups are you involved in?
I have played volleyball, participated in theatre, and have served as an officer in Student Council and Spanish Honor Society and been a member of NHS, ITS, Chapel Committee, and A Capella Knights.
What honors and awards have you received during your time at NCA?
I have received the Christian Character Award have been named Salutatorian for the class of 2017.
To which colleges have you been accepted and where do you plan to attend?
I have applied and been accepted to UNC Charlotte, Anderson University, and Liberty University. I plan to attend Liberty University.
What do you plan to study in college?
I plan pursue a degree in Journalism.
What activities (athletic, fine arts, etc.) do you plan to participate in while at college?
I plan on pursuing non-competitive sports, choir, and theatre in college.
What is your life verse?
My life verse is Romans 8:18: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
